The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley kicks off their 2024 First Friday Listening Room Concert Series with Leslie Brooks and Al Coffey on Friday, February 2, 2024.
Multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Al Coffey joins singer and songwriter Leslie Brooks for our February First Friday Listening Room. You will enjoy these seasoned musicians and their tight harmonies. Lynda Holiday will join them on many songs, adding vocal harmony and percussion!
Leslie Brooks is a singer-songwriter performing on guitar with her eclectic vocal style playing jazz, soulful ballads, folk, country blues, rockin' country, Americana and popular favorites. A seasoned performer and accomplished guitarist, she has traveled the U.S. and abroad, weaving her experiences into heartfelt songs.
She has played the best venues in a 16-state area, as well as in Norway and Monte Carlo. Opened for Heart, James Taylor, Bob Margolin and Willie Nelson to name a few. With six records to her name and a history of acclaimed performances, Brooks continues to craft music that resonates with authenticity and deep storytelling.

Instead of different blades and tools, he brings out instrument after instrument. Playing in different bands and as a sideman for other singers, he can be seen playing fiddle one minute, sax the next, or perhaps guitar, harmonica, flute, mandolin, bass, trumpet, or drums. He's been known to sing too.

There will be light refreshments and a cash bar beginning at 5:00 PM when the doors open. The music runs from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Beginning in February, anyone who attends the First Friday Listening Room Concert will receive a coupon for 10% off any drink at Mochi’s Café right across the street!
There is street parking, and there are several lots within a block from the Center, one behind the Pulaski Theatre and one a block away by the Central Gym and County Administration Building.
