Description:
New River Community College (NRCC) presents their 2024 Black History Month Program on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in room 117 Edwards Hall on their Dublin, VA campus.

In celebration of Black History month, New River Community College and the college's Black History Committee will sponsor a guest speaker and music program. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Wayne Scales, professor of engineering at Virginia Tech, and he will present remarks on the topic of "A Black Man's Challenges, Struggles, Rewards and Triumphs Pursuing a STEM Career".

Musical performances will be presented by Jubilee Christian Center Choir and Sharon Edwards. Light refreshments will be served following the program.

Edwards Hall is located at 5251 College Drive in Dublin, VA on the campus of New River Community College.
