The Blacksburg Library and the Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents "Power and Practice of Art and Culture in Healthy Communities" Part 1 on Thursday, February 8, 2024 offered in-person and on Zoom.
Part I of the three-part Colloquium series presented by the Virginia Tech School of the Performing Arts bringing nationally recognized artists and thought leaders together to discuss their thoughts on the power and practice of art and culture as essential elements of healthy communities.
Mei Ann Teo will draw on their own artistic journey to dig into the place and function of theatre in the social and political life of communities. As a co-leader at the helm of Ping Chong and Company, a legendary theatre organization, as it transitions from its originating founder to its future under a new generation of leadership, Mei Ann will share vision, knowledge, and experience in theatre practices and the form itself moving into the future from where we are today.
