The Blacksburg Master Chorale presents the concert titled "Resistance and Transcendence: Songs from the Camps" on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church.

Under the direction of Larry Wyatt, the Blacksburg Master Chorale will perform three moving musical settings that tell stories from the Holocaust camps, the experiences of Frederick Douglass and John Brown, and a Montana town that stood together in the face of bigotry and racism. The choir is joined by soloists Michael Richardson, baritone; Jason Brown, tenor; Denise Benardini, soprano; and cellist Ben Wyatt.

There will be a digital art exhibit featuring creative works by people represented in these stories, showing how their humanity transcended even the bleakest of circumstances.

General admission is $20.00, $15.00 for seniors and $10.00 for students.
