Description:
The Computer Science Department at Virginia Tech presents their Inaugural Showcase on Saturday, April 27, 2024 inside Torgersen Hall on the campus of Virginia Tech.
The Computer Science Department will hold its inaugural showcase featuring tours of Torgersen Hall, the new Gilbert Place building, and the new Data & Decision Sciences building. Research posters by Computer Science undergraduate and graduate students will be on display with lab-based demonstrations.
All guided tours begin on the first-floor Atrium of Torgersen Hall. The first tour will gather at 1:15 PM with new tour groups leaving every 15-30 minutes. Tours take approximately 90 minutes, and they conclude on the first floor of the Data & Decision Sciences building.
At each building, Computer Science Department students, faculty, and staff will be on hand to talk with visitors and discuss their research. Refreshment stations for tour participants will be provided in each building.
Admission is free.
All members of the Virginia Tech community including students, faculty, staff, alumni and Ut Prosim visitors from across the university, industry partners, K-12 students and teachers, and any interested stakeholders are invited to attend.
