New River Community Action presents the Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser for Floyd County Children's Weekend Food Program on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Floyd County High School.

Fill a bowl and fill a need in your community! Enjoy homemade soup, bread, cookies, beverage and take home your own handmade artisan bowl to keep. Please join us for this important fundraiser for the Floyd County Backpack food assistance program that provides meals over the weekend for children.

The Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser is resuming this year after a hiatus. The past few months, many local potters have been making bowls for this event. Bowl production costs have increased so bowls are limited to adult tickets only this year. Any extra bowls will be available for purchase at the event.

Adult tickets are $25.00 and include a handcrafted bowl and $10.00 for kids ages 6-12 and free for kids ages 5 & under. Kids will not receive a bowl.

Tickets are also available in-person at Bell Gallery and Garden, Floyd Center for the Arts, Floyd Visitor Center / Floyd Chamber of Commerce, New River Community Action in Floyd, Red Rooster Coffee, The Pharm House or Troika.

Volunteers are needed for this event.

Floyd County High School is located at 721 Baker Street in Floyd, VA.
