UPDATE: Due to the rain, the Spring Garden Day has been postponed. A make-up date is to be determined.

The Montgomery Museum of Art & History Gardens presents their Spring Garden Day and Flower Art Opening on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

This exciting event will feature the “Flower Art in the Garden” Theme Show, showcasing the creativity of local artists. Participants were tasked with decorating “flat flower” templates, thoughtfully crafted by students at Blacksburg High School, which will be placed throughout the site. Participants were encouraged to incorporate native southwest Virginia plants into their artwork, resulting in a vibrant display that celebrates the region’s natural beauty and artistic talent.

In addition to the art exhibit, Spring Garden Day offers a wonderful opportunity for attendees to explore the Museum Garden with gardeners on-site to answer any questions. Visitors will also have the chance to engage with the Virginia Native Plant Society, Virginia Master Naturalists, and Virginia Master Gardeners, as several booths will be set up to provide information and insights into the rich botanical heritage of Southwest Virginia.

This event promises to be a delightful celebration of art, nature, and community.
