The Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery presents their 2024 Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 27, 2024.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend this tribute to honor and remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation.
The keynote speaker will be Vice Admiral Evan M. Chanik, (U.S. Navy, Retired).
To commemorate Memorial Day, American flags will be placed on all grave sites and the Avenue of Flags will be erected along the circle drive thanks to Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery Volunteers prior to the ceremony.
Admission is free.
Parking is available on-site and at the nearby Lions Club.
The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) recommends that attendees arrive 30 minutes early to allow for parking and to be seated prior the start of the ceremony.
