Floyd Country Tourism presents the 3rd Annual Check Farm Trail at seven participating farms and businesses throughout Check, Virginia on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

Join us for the third annual celebration of the Check Farm Trail! This family-friendly experience is an up-close chance to learn about agriculture through demonstrations, tastings and farm tours including plants & animals and more!

Farm Tour Stops:
• I-Tal Acres (1663 Diamond Knob Road, Check, VA):
Free plant ID walks & tours of our medicinal herb farm throughout the day between the hours of 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Note: The farm is on a hillside, parking is limited and space to turn around can get tricky. It is suggested to park on the sides of Diamond Knob Road and walk down the short driveway.

• Kat the Farmer (407 Diamond Knob Road, Check, VA):
One fourth acre woman-run salad-centric farm. Walking tours available at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Suggested donation is $5.00 per car load. Plants, merch and other products are available for purchase.

• Lil Valley Farm (8318 Huff Mill Road, Copper Hill, VA):
Lil Valley Farm is a Pick Your Own (PYO) farm open from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Learn about how we do things plus enjoy field games for the family including corn hole, Yard Yahtzee & more!

• Seven Spring’s Farm CSA (424 Jerry Lane, Check, VA):
Home of one of the longest-running CSA’s in the nation. Tours of the garden at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Walk around the gardens, ask questions, and see the facilities. Open from 12:00-4:00 PM.

• The Soup Shop (7360 Floyd Hwy North, Copper Hill, VA):
Stop by for Floyd-famous soups, local products and more from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Free tea to customers who say "Check Farm Tour" along with a special sandwich deal.

• Weathertop Farm (963 Eanes Road, Check, VA):
Hay Wagon Tours with Farmer Sledge at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM. Farm open from 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM. See a regenerative livestock operation in person featuring lambs, piglets & chicks! Farm Store open.

Admission is free.

Food and/or products will be available for purchase at most of the farms and businesses.

Carpooling is encouraged and please leave pets at home.
