Science on Tap - New River Valley presents their September event titled "Be the Ocean: Getting Hermit Crabs to Land" on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery.
Join us to learn about the life cycle, ecology, and conservation of land hermit crabs with Mary Akers, the only breeder of land hermit crabs in the United States. She'll bring some crabs for us to meet, tell us about her breeding program, and introduce the crab conservation organization she founded. Come get crabby with us!
Free and open to the public.
Science on Tap is presented by Virginia Tech's Center for Communicating Science and the Virginia Tech chapter of Sigma Xi.
All events are open to the public without charge.
