The Virginia Tech Women's Club presents their first Friday Forum of the year on Friday, October 4, 2024 in the Fellowship Hall at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Blacksburg, VA.
Katy Powell will speak about “Place, Identity, and (more) Mountain Stories". Appalachia is one of her areas of experience.
Friday Forums are free and are an opportunity to engage with local leaders and scholars and learn from them. Each event begins with coffee and conversation at 10 AM, but come a little early to socialize.
Members, guests, and community members are all invited.
Organized in 1965, the purpose of the Virginia Tech Women's Club is to expand the intellectual and social horizons of its membership, provide scholarships for women at Virginia Tech, and promote the interests of Virginia Tech.
The Virginia Tech Women’s Club (VTWC) is a support organization for the VT community. We welcome current and retired faculty and staff, the wives of current and retired faculty and staff, as well as VT alumni, and interested community members to become active members.
