Lifelong Learning Institute at Virginia Tech presents Meet New York Times Best Selling Author Renee Watson on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Warm Hearth Village Center's Tall Oaks Room.

Don't miss this wonderful opportunity as we host Renée Watson, a New York Times best-selling author for a conversation and book reading. Watson's books have sold over one million copies, and her young adult novel, "Piecing Me Together", won the Coretta Scott King Award and a Newberry Honor.

Watson will speak about writing and the many themes central to her own writing. She will share excerpts from her work, including pieces from her recent volume of adult poetry, "Black Girl You Are Atlas".

Following her talk, there will be a Q&A and a book signing.

This talk is open to the public with no registration necessary.
