Description:
Science on Tap - New River Valley presents their October event titled "Evolutionary puzzles: How moving into new areas can change evolution" on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery in Blacksburg, VA.
Join us to learn about processes of change in evolutionary biology. How does a population moving into a new area change how evolutionary puzzles are solved? Virginia Tech biological sciences Ph.D. student Caitlin Miller will share her expertise, and we’ll have a hands-on exploration of how range expansions can alter trait frequencies and even the evolution of new species.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Presented by Virginia Tech's Center for Communicating Science and the Virginia Tech chapter of Sigma Xi.
