The Chance Harman Memorial Fund presents Hargrave Military Academy vs. Oak Hill Academy in a pre-season basketball scrimmage on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Floyd County High School.
Two of the nation's premiere high school boys basketball programs tip off in a high school basketball scrimmage to help raise funds for the Chance Harman Memorial Fund. The program feature three of the top 125 basketball prospects in the 2025 recruiting class, two in the top 100 of the 2026 recruiting class and one player in the top 25 of the 2027 recruiting class.
Admission is $5.00.
Fans will receive a free single dip ice cream with admission compliments of Floyd Xpress Market.

Chance Harman Memorial Fund (CHMF) is a 501(c)3 Not-for-profit organization based in Floyd, Virginia that raises awareness and research for the medical advancement of Pediatric Brain Cancer. CHMF was formed in 2007 to honor Chance Harman, the son of Brian and Desirae Harman, and his battle with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor, a rare for of a medulloblastoma childhood brain tumor also known as ATRT. Through the strong support of a small community in Southwest Virginia, CHMF has grown into the premier regional prep basketball event in Virginia.
Floyd County High School is located at 721 Baker Street in Floyd, VA.
