Virginia Tech Outreach and International Affairs presents the 2024 International Education Week Keynote Speaker Mary Maker on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech.

Please join us to hear from the Virginia Tech International Education Week Keynote speaker, Mary Maker, an Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), a former refugee herself, and a powerful agent for education, peace, and passion for displaced people. Mary invites listeners to see displacement whether from war, natural disaster, or personal circumstances as a universal human experience that demands not just empathy, but action.

This free event is open to the public.

The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech is located at 330 Turner Street NW in Blacksburg, VA.
