The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the Virginia Tech Philharmonic Orchestra and Honor String Orchestra Festival on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech.
The Virginia Tech Philharmonic and the Virginia Tech Honor String Orchestra, under the direction of Mathias Elmer, perform an evening concert.
The performance will include Ballade in A Minor, op. 33 by S. Coleridge-Taylor and Pictures at an Exhibition by M. Mussorgsky. The concert will culminate in a side-by-side piece from both the Virginia Tech Honor String Orchestra and Virginia Tech Philharmonic performing J. Sibelius’s Finlandia.
Admission is free and no reservations are required.
