The Radford University Men's Basketball team hosts non-conference opponent Bucknell on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Dedmon Center.

The Radford University Men's basketball program, who is currently on their best start to a season in nearly 35 years, is hosting a special Highlanders Holidays celebration for their clash with Bucknell. The game will feature the annual teddy bear toss, an exclusive Radford ornament giveaway and a pregame photo opportunity with Santa Paws for what is sure to be a special Sunday.

Fans and supporters will want to make sure to bring their new stuffed toys to throw onto the court at halftime of Sunday's contest. All toys that are thrown onto the court will be collected and donated to Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital.

Carilion Children's, located in Roanoke, Virginia, offers the region's only children's hospital providing intensive care, outpatient services and primary care to southwestern Virginia. Their skilled staff of more than 500 medical professionals is specially trained in caring for infants and children.

Celebrate the holidays with a one-of-a-kind Radford Athletics ornament! Fans and supporters will want to make sure they arrive to the game early as the first 100 fans will receive a free Radford University ornament. The ornament is one-of-a-kind and extremely limited and will only be available at Sunday's contest. Once the 100 run out, that is it, and the item will not be available again.

The game will also feature a special pregame photo opportunity with Santa Paws. Fans and supporters will want to arrive early to have a chance to take their picture with Santa Paws at the main entrance.

Santa Paws is possible through a partnership with Tartan Tails, a wellness program established in 2022 that is designed to promote well-being across the Radford University community through positive interactions with trained and certified animals.

Ticket price depends on seat location and age of the ticket holder.
