Christiansburg High School Readers' Theater performs the One Act Plays: “Fog on the Valley” and “The Bishop’s Candlesticks" on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 inside the Montgomery Central Auditorium.
Christiansburg High School is partnering with Christiansburg Institute, Inc. to bring history to life with a Readers’ Theater performance of two, one-act plays from the Viola Charlton Collection titled “Fog on the Valley” and “The Bishop’s Candlesticks.”
Ms. Charlton, the inspiring English, French, and Drama teacher at Christiansburg Institute directed her students in these same plays during the 1950s and 1960s. This event honors her legacy and celebrates the power of storytelling.
These plays were performed by Christiansburg Institute students over 50 years ago, and now, our community’s talented young thespians are reviving them for a special night of storytelling and history!
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
