Hacksburg presents a Maple Syrup Making Workshop on Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Learn about maple syrup production and everything you need to know to turn sap into a syrup at home! We will learn about how to identify and tap trees, different kinds of equipment and techniques for boiling and finishing into syrup. We'll also talk about the history of maple syrup and maple sugar, syrups from other trees, and how syrup is not just good on pancakes!

Class fee includes demonstrations and a sampling of local syrup. Optional Materials fee includes supplies to get you started at home.

The cost of the class is $5.00 for non-members and free for Hacksburg members. The optional materials fee is $5.00.

This class is for attendees age 14 and up. If you are bringing an attendee under 18, you (the parent/guardian) must stay for the entire duration of the class.
