Virginia Tech Baseball presents the 17th Annual Baseball Night in Blacksburg with former Major League Baseball player and new Baseball Hall of Farmer Billy Wagner as the special guest speaker on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at The Inn at Virginia Tech.

• 6:00 PM: Remarks by Evan Hughes, Prayer, Dinner Service begins
• 6:40 PM: Remarks by Virginia Tech Head Baseball Coach John Szefc
• 7:10 PM: Q&A with Billy Wagner

Billed as the formal kickoff to Tech’s spring season, Baseball Night in Blacksburg provides an intimate setting where guests can meet with VIPs and interact with current Hokies before the start of the 2025 campaign. Those in attendance are invited to share in a catered dinner, during which remarks will be made by head coach John Szefc and special guest Billy Wagner.

Bound for Cooperstown, Billy Wagner, a 16-year MLB veteran, seven-time All-Star and revered left-hand closer who ranks eighth all-time in career saves (422), was recently elected to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025. Receiving the sport’s highest honor, Wagner will serve as the Virginia Tech baseball team’s featured guest and keynote speaker

Virginia Tech memorabilia will be available both for purchase and at auction throughout the evening until the event’s close.

The program includes a catered dinner, beer, wine, soft drinks, silent auction and remarks from the featured speakers.

Individual tickets are $125.00 and VIP table tickets are also available.
