The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts continues their Concert Artist Series with Pianist Michael Noble on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 inside the Squires Recital Salon located within the Squires Student Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Michael Noble, DMA, is “a pianist with an admirable ability to serve the music at times with the subtlety of a master chamber music player, and also at times to blaze forth with commanding virtuosity and to carry [audiences] to dramatic climaxes”.

A multifaceted artist, Michael possesses a keen interest in a wide range of music genres from Gregorian chant to electronic dance music and often experiments with different styles in his programs. His second album, Ascension, juxtaposes an original composition, and multiple transcriptions alongside both modern and early works.

Noble has won awards in numerous international competitions, including the Carmel Music Society Competition, Crescendo Music Awards, and The Plowman Chamber Music Competition. He has been described as “a pianist to remember” (Het Nieuwsblad) and “exceptional” (New York Concert Review).

Most recently, Noble garnered nominations for Best Classical Artist and Best Classical Song at the 2024 Wammie Music Awards, the D.C. metro area’s counterpart to the GRAMMYs.

Michael is on faculty at Levine Music. He is a Voting Member of The Recording Academy (the Grammys) and is represented by BMI.
