The Blacksburg Library presents a Puppetry Workshop for Youth Ages 8-12 on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Young puppeteers will have fun creating their own sock puppet while being introduced to puppetry principles through games and activities.
The instructor Nicole Friess-Schilling is an interdisciplinary artist and theatre-maker currently studying Applied Theatre and Public Dialogue at Virginia Tech where she is an MFA candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant. A member of The Puppeteers of America and UNIMA USA, she has taught theatre, dance, and music to all ages at her studio, community centers, and public schools in Iowa, where she is from.
All materials are provided.
