Schedule:
• 10:00 AM: Check In / Registration Begins
• 12:30 PM: Plunge Festivities Begin (Opening Ceremonies, Costume Contest, Top Team & Individual, Safety Briefing)
• 1:00 PM: Registration Closes
Note: The location has changed from Dudley's Landing at the New River to the field next to the Radford City Administration Building due to significant damage from Hurricane Helene. Instead of the New River, participants will now jump into Polar Plunge pools.
Grab your closest friends and family and come on out for the New River Polar Plunge®! We have prizes for the best costumes and top fundraisers, heated changing tents to take the chill off, and of course cannonball into our Polar Plunge pools with hundreds of your closest friends!
It’s $100.00 to participate which benefit the Special Olympics and includes the official Polar Plunge t-shirt, but the more you raise, the cooler the incentives. We have prizes for the best costumes and top fundraisers.
Every penny we raise supports 20,000 athletes of all abilities.
There will be music and entertainment throughout the event.

The plunge is open to the entire community to help us raise money to benefit the amazing athletes of Special Olympics Virginia! If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign your waiver form.
Walk-ins the day of the event are welcome.
Plungers will jump into the pool one at a time which means everyone gets their own 60 seconds of fame! Diving and flipping is not permitted. Plungers must be able to lift themselves up a ladder in order to exit the pool. Safety divers will be in the pools to keep all safe throughout the event.
Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
The Radford City Administration Building is located at 10 Robertson Street in Radford, VA.
