The National Alliance on Mental Illness of the New River Valley (NAMI NRV) presents a Nine Week Family-to-Family Course starting on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 meeting weekly from 6:00-8:30 PM at the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church.
NAMI NRV will begin an educational class for the family members and friends of loved ones living with a mental illness. The class provides the latest research on mental health conditions and strategies for how to best support your loved one, as well as for self-care. The program provides valuable information on anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other mental health challenges. Participants will also gain a caring community.
The nine-week class is free, confidential, and is led by NAMI trained volunteers with lived experience, which means they have experienced the challenges of mental illness and understand what participants are going through.
