Description:
The Friends of Peak Creek present a special showing of the Freshwaters Illustrated documentary, "Hidden Rivers of Southern Appalachia", at the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
"Hidden Rivers of Southern Appalachia" showcases the beauty beneath the surface of creeks and rivers of Appalachia. The one-hour film explores the rivers and streams of the Southern Appalachian region, North America’s most biologically rich waters from the unique perspective of scuba diving and documenting what is just below the surface. The film follows the work of conservation biologists and explorers throughout the region revealing both the beauty and vulnerability of this aquatic life and how many people are finding ways to protect these ecosystems.
