The Jessie Peterman Library presents an Author Talk with Alan Stie and his book “From Blue Ridge Mountain Boy to Sooner Slayer. A Perspective on Hunting, Fishing, Family, and Friends” on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
As a native of Ferrum, Virginia, Alan will share stories from his book “From Blue Ridge Mountain Boy to Sooner Slayer” about growing up in Franklin County Virginia, living in Oklahoma, traveling, the wonderful outdoors, and rural America.
Alan’s book signings are not of the norm. Besides speaking, reading segments of his chapters and discussing various questions about his writings, Alan does all natural voice Owl Hooting and Crow Calling to make his audiences laugh and smile at his expense. He is an 8x All Natural Voice Owl Hooting Oklahoma State Calling Champion and a 12x Oklahoma and Texas Wild Turkey Calling State and National Champion.
The Jessie Peterman Library is located at 321 West Main Street in Floyd, VA.
