The Blacksburg Library presents Second Chance at Life with Local Author and Transplant Survivor Harry Collins on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

April is National Donate Life Month! Join lung transplant survivor, current President of the Lung Transplant Foundation, and local author, Harry Collins as he shares his inspiring journey to health and the vital role of organ donation in helping people live fulfilling lives.

Harry is an author, poet, short story writer, speaker, businessman and survivor. Harry was diagnosed with COPD and had a bilateral lung transplant at Duke University Medical Center in March 2010. He started writing to share his experiences with others that may be experiencing the same problems he faced.

Copies of his books will be available for purchase.

The Blacksburg Library is located at 200 Miller Street in Blacksburg, VA.
