The NRV Sportsmen and the Izaak Walton League of Christiansburg presents their Annual Kids Fishing Rodeo and Kids Fishing Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Izaak Walton Facility in Christiansburg, VA.
Come on out and enjoy a wonderful day filled with fishing, food and outdoor recreational activities!
All children ages 17 & under are invited to fish and catch trout up to three pounds. In addition, prizes will be awarded and a free lunch will be provided for the children participating. The history of this fishing rodeo goes all the way back to the 1960s.
Registration will be at the pond. Please sign up before entering the facility.
This event is free to the public.
Participants should bring their own fishing poles.
The event is rain or shine.
The Izaak Walton League helps to conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, forest, water and other natural resources of the United States and other lands. The organization also helps to promote means and opportunities for the education of the public with respect to such resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization.
Izaak Walton Facility is located at 1001 Izaak Walton Lane in Christiansburg, VA just off Den Hill Road.
