Description:
New River Valley Community Services (NRVCS) presents Day Of Hope NRV: A Celebration of Recovery & Wellness on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Christiansburg Huckleberry Park.
Join us for a community celebration of recovery and wellness! We are excited to announce our first-ever "Day of Hope" event, featuring live music from three regional bands, food trucks, family-friendly activities including face painting, cornhole & t-shirts, activities for all ages, information/resources from local service agencies and much more!
The goal of this family-friendly celebration is to promote wellness and recovery, while reducing the stigma often associated with substance use in our community by building community resiliency and connections.
Enjoy performances from live bands Jimothy, Adam & The Furrows and The Midnight Blues Society.
Jimothy is a multi-genre band based around the solo work of singer and guitarist Jim Bohon based in the New River Valley region of Virginia. Jim is a multi-instrumentalist, and performed all instrumentation and vocals on the band's debut album "Never In A Million Years," before fleshing out a full band when the album proved to be popular among local audiences. Jimothy love what they do, and it shines through in their performance, no matter the event or venue.
