The Continental Divide, located within The Inn at Virginia Tech, presents Sula's Front Porch in concert on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Sula’s Front Porch is a bluegrass and Americana duo from Southwest Virginia that was originally formed as an emergency band due to a last minute cancellation.

Sula’s Front Porch features award-winning fiddler Aran Garnett-Deakin and Tim Thornton. When she’s not sawing on fiddle tunes or singing Sierra Ferrell covers, Aran can be heard playing with the Virginia Tech Philharmonic Orchestra. She plays clawhammer banjo and guitar, too. Tim adds guitar, dulcimer, banjo mandolin and a little singing too.
