Lyme Warrior and The Alpha-Gal Foundation presents the Annual Run Like A Warrior 5k Color Run / Walk on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Eastern Divide Brewing in Blacksburg, VA.

Join us for the Run Like a Warrior 5K! This event is dedicated to raising awareness for Alpha Gal Syndrome and Lyme Disease during Lyme Awareness Month. Whether you're a Lyme warrior, a supporter, or simply looking to run for a cause, this 5K is your chance to make a difference.

As you navigate the scenic course starting and ending at Eastern Divide Brewing Company, you'll be doused in vibrant green chalk, symbolizing our collective fight against Lyme disease and support for those affected by tick-borne illnesses.

This 5K run supports the Alpha-Gal Foundation. Alpha-gal syndrome (“the red meat allergy”) is a tickborne disease that causes an allergy to beef, pork, dairy, etc. and is prevalent in our area. The Alpha-gal Foundation helps provide support, education, and increase awareness for patients, providers and the public.

Registration is $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for kids ages 5-12 and free for kids 4 & under. Commemorative medals can be added for an additional $7.99 each.
