Floyd Country Tourism presents the 4th Annual Check Farm Trail at four participating farms and businesses throughout Check, Virginia on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
The 4th Annual Check Farm Trail is scheduled with four great farms and business locations participating. These small local businesses and farms will open their doors to welcome visitors for up-close educational and entertaining tours, talks, and demos about how and why they grow food for the community.
Farm Tour Stops:
• I-Tal Acres - 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (1663 Diamond Knob Road, Check, VA):
Tour the herbs they grow for their apothecary products and classes.
Note: The farm is on a hillside, parking is limited and space to turn around can get tricky. It is suggested to park on the sides of Diamond Knob Road and walk down the short driveway.
• Lil Valley Farm - 12:00-6:00 PM (8318 Huff Mill Road, Copper Hill, VA):
Lil Valley Farm is a Pick Your Own (PYO) farm. Enjoy a guided tour. PYO blueberries will only be available from 8:00-9:30 AM and 6:00-8:30 PM due to the heat and turning blueberries to mush in the heat.
• Family Gathering Farms and Forests - 1:00-5:00 PM (154 Lick Creek Lane, Copper Hill, VA):
Farm tour and opportunity to feed and pet the goats.
• The Soup Shop - 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM (7360 Floyd Hwy North, Copper Hill, VA):
Tour the shop, market and gardens with three farm & local vendors onsite. Lunch available for purchase.
Participants will drive from farm to farm; carpooling is encouraged. Bring family and friends, but please leave pets at home.
Admission is free.
Food and/or products will be available for purchase at most of the farms and businesses.
