The Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum and the N&W Historical Society presents a special showing of the recent PBS Documentary "Steam, Steel, and Storylines" on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
The documentary focuses on the fascinating history of the N&W Railroad including its innovative steam engines, its impact on Roanoke and Southwest Virginia, and its transformation during the diesel era. Members of the N&W Historical Society will be on hand to answer questions following the documentary.
The showing is free, but donations are accepted.
