Warm Hearth Village continues their Connection Series with an Author Talk and Book Signing with Laura Beth Dean on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Warm Hearth Village Center.

Celebrate one of our own! Join Warm Hearth Village team member Laura Beth Dean as she shares her award-winning children’s picture book, "Georgia Jipp: Blizzard Pilot".

Laura Beth Dean shares her award-winning children's picture book, "Georgia Jipp: Blizzard Pilot" which tells the true story of a courageous young pilot who flew more than 150 life-saving missions for the American Red Cross during the historic South Dakota blizzards of 1949. Her brief author talk will explore the inspiration behind the book and will be followed by Q & A and a book signing, with books available for purchase.

Her debut nonfiction children’s book has earned multiple national awards, including the Spur, Will Rogers Medallion, WILLA and Moonbeam awards.

Open to residents and the community.
