Description:
The Wilderness Road Regional Museum presents a screening of Blue Ridge PBS' "Resolved to Live & Die: The Revolutionary Roots of Southwest Virginia" on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Do-Better Cottage.
January 20th marks the 251st Anniversary of the Fincastle Resolutions. Learn about the drafting and signing of the Fincastle Resolutions, which preceded the Declaration of Independence and fueled the spark of freedom over 250 years ago. To mark that date we will host a screening of the recently premiered Blue Ridge PBS / PBS Appalachia "Resolved to Live & Die: The Revolutionary Roots of Southwest Virginia" documentary. The documentary lasts 57 minutes long.
Admission is free though donations are appreciated.
We are partners with the production along with the Willowbrook Homestead Museum in Wytheville, VA and hope to get it screened at every school in Southwest Virginia, at libraries, and other smaller venues throughout the region.
If you are a teacher or events organizer and would like us to bring it to your school or group, please email wrrm5240@gmail.com.
The Wilderness Road Regional Museum is located at 5420 Wilderness Road in Newbern, VA.
