Blacksburg Wine Lab continues their Think and Drink series with an event titled "Pompeii: Death and the Afterlife of a Roman Town" on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Join us for a thought-provoking evening as Virginia Tech Professor Bugh guides participants through the dramatic final moments and enduring legacy of the Roman town of Pompeii.

Through archaeology, history, and storytelling, Professor Bugh will reveal how tragedy preserved Pompeii as one of the most vivid windows into Roman civilization.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply curious about the ancient world, this is a chance to think deeply, ask questions, and connect over the past, glass in hand.

Admission is $20.00 per person and includes a glass of red or white wine (or non-alcoholic beverage of choice) to enjoy during the session.
