Virginia Tech Wrestling continues their 2025/2026 home schedule against #24 ranked ACC conference opponent Stanford on Friday, January 23, 2026 inside Cassell Coliseum on the campus of Virginia Tech.
It's Takedown Barriers Night which is a night of inclusion to celebrate the diverse abilities within our community and Virginia Tech Wrestling family, helping raise awareness and promoting understanding, acceptance and support for all. Some sound will be adjusted to a lower volume throughout the night and a sensory friendly SAFE ZONE will be provided.
A recommended community group seating area for Unified, Special Olympics and others will be located in Sections 106-108. The Virginia Tech Athletics marketing table can provide sensory headphones/earplugs, while supplies last.
A sensory friendly SAFE ZONE will be located by Section 109-110 in the Student-Athlete Performance Center. Items in the SAFE ZONE will include bean bags, weighted stuffed animals, tangram, trucks, fidget toys, tents and more. All items are property of the SAFE ZONE and must remain in the zone.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and the wrestling will begin at 7:00 PM.
Note: Please be advised the match will include some flashing lights, high tempo music and loud noises.
Cassell Coliseum is located at 675 Washington Street in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
