Description:
The Renaissance Music Academy presents the 2026 String Extravaganza on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech.

Enjoy performances and performers from the ages of four years old through adult.

Groups performing include:
• Suzuki Violin Group
• Suzuki Cello Group
• Suzuki Guitar Group
• Renaissance Music Academy Chamber Orchestra

Admission is free.

The Renaissance Music Academy of Virginia is the oldest, largest, and most established non-profit community music school in southwest Virginia. Founded in 1993, the RMA offers serious study for ages 2 years old through adult. The RMA is recognized by the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts for its quality programs.

The RMA receives support for its programs from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. The school is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. The RMA has established a component fund at the Community Foundation of the New River Valley. This permanent endowed fund, named the "Frank and Shirleigh Marvin Scholarship Fund," provides scholarships to families demonstrating financial need and commitment to RMA programs.
