Description:
The Highlander Hotel presents the 1st Annual Spring Open Chess Tournament over three days starting on Friday, April 10, 2026 through Sunday, April 12, 2026.

The Spring Open is a three-day, seven round, 120-player Swiss unranked tournament built for strategy, stamina, and serious prize money. Enjoy serious chess without the stress featuring competitive, friendly, and welcoming chess tournament for all levels. Unrated chess players are welcome to compete. This tournament will be conducted using the Swiss System format.

All players will compete in every round (no eliminations). Players are paired against opponents with similar scores in each round. Final standings will be determined by total points and tie-break systems.

Prizes will be awarded including $750 for first place, $240 for second and $60 for third. Any top three placement will receive a Diamond membership for Chess.com.

The entry fee is $60.00 per person.
