Radford University hosts the Women's NIT Opening Round featuring the Radford Women's Basketball Team facing Morehead State on Friday, March 20, 2026 inside the Dedmon Center on the campus of Radford University.

Schedule of Events:
• 6:00-7:00 PM: WNIT Tailgate in Courtside Lounge
• 7:00 PM: Game starts

For the first time since jumping to the NCAA Division I level in 1984, there will be a postseason basketball game in the Dedmon Center. After finishing second place in the Big South during the regular season to secure the auto bid to the WNIT, the Radford Highlanders women's basketball team will host Morehead State.

All Radford Highlander fans with tickets will have access to the courtside lounge before the Radford Women's Basketball game starting at 6:00 PM for the WNIT Tailgate. Enjoy light appetizers, plus water and soda. A cash bar will be available as you reconnect with friends, fellow alumni, and fans before the game.

The first 700 Radford University students will receive free admission to the game.

Radford women's basketball is making their first postseason appearance since playing in the NCAA Tournament in 2019. Their 22 wins are the seventh-most in program history. It's been a record-breaking season for McGuire, who became the first basketball coach to 200 wins in Radford history back in December. This is the 11th postseason appearance for women's basketball in program history and their seventh WNIT bid.

The Dedmon Center is located at 101 University Drive in Radford, VA on the campus of Radford University.
