The Newport Community Center presents the Official Presentation of the Newport Community Center as a Crooked Road Affiliate Venue and the Third Friday March Bluegrass & Old Time Jam Session on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Event Schedule:
• 6:00 PM: Crooked Road Affiliate Venue Presentation
• 7:00-9:00 PM: Bluegrass & Old Time Jam Session
The Crooked Road: Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail invites you to the Newport Community Center as we recognize its new role as an affiliate venue along The Crooked Road. Join us as we celebrate this milestone and welcome the Newport Community Center onto Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail.
Following the presentation, we invite you to stay and enjoy the Newport Community Center Jam.
Bring your instruments and join us for a night of bluegrass and old time music in the cafeteria at the Newport Community Center.
Admission is free and all are welcome. This is a family friendly event.
Concessions will be available for purchase.
The Bluegrass & Old Time Jam Sessions are a bimonthly event that occurs on the first and third Fridays of each month from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The Newport Community Center is located at 434 Blue Grass Trail (Route 42) in Newport, VA.
