Description:
The Virginia Tech Autism Clinic & Center for Autism Research presents the 4th Annual Fishing Tournament for Autism Awareness on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Enjoy a beautiful day fishing on the New River and raise money for the Virginia Tech Autism Clinic and their SAFE (Supporting Autism Friendly Environments) program.

Tournament Day Schedule:
• 6:15 AM: Captain’s meeting
• 7:00 AM: Lines in the water
• 4:00 PM: Check-in Deadline or fish will not count

There will be raffles and door prizes. Visit with the Virginia Tech Autism Clinic SAFE staff in the afternoon.

The entry fee is $50.00 per angler.

Registration times are on Thursday, April 17th from 3:00-7:00 PM and on Friday, April 18th from 5:00-6:00 AM. All anglers must have a valid Virginia fishing license. The boundaries for fishing are Fields Dam to Peak Creek.

Camping is available for $25.00 a spot.

The event is organized by New River Fishing and hosted by New River Outdoor Adventures. Sponsored by Pilot Welding and Repair and Amtex, Inc.
