Description:
Radford University continues their RAD Talks with the event "Exploring Community History in Radford and Southwest Virginia" on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery.

Sharon Roger Hepburn, chair and professor of history, and Geoffrey Pollick chair and associate professor of religious studies, both of Radford University, will share a presentation, "Exploring Community History in Radford and Southwest Virginia". In their talk, Hepburn and Pollick will discuss a new initiative at Radford University, the Community History Research Collective. The group, newly formed this year, "is a community of scholars who are working to tell a holistic and authentic history of this institution within the many contexts of its founding, growth, and transformations across decades."

The presenters will review the collective’s initial goals and projects, and invite collaboration from interested community members and organizations.

This event is open to the public. There is no admission charge.

Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery is located at 600 Unruh Drive in Radford, VA.
