The Radford University Planetarium presents their final Free Planetarium Show of the Spring Semester titled "Audio Universe: Tour of the Solar System" with two weeks of showings starting on Thursday, April 16, 2026 and ending on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Schedule of Showings:
1st Week:
• Thursday, April 16th at 7:00 PM
• Friday, April 17th at 7:00 PM
• Saturday, April 18th at 10:30 AM
• Saturday, April 18th at 1:00 PM
• Sunday, April 19th at 4:00 PM
2nd Week:
• Thursday, April 23rd at 7:00 PM
• Friday, April 24th at 7:00 PM
• Saturday, April 25th at 10:30 AM
• Saturday, April 25th at 1:00 PM
• Sunday, April 26th at 4:00 PM
Experience the Solar System like never before by traveling on a spacecraft that can turn the objects in space into sound! This 35-minute immersive show transports the audience inside a special spacecraft that takes them to the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) to view the stars in the night sky, before lifting them off into space to visit the Earth, Moon, Sun and all the planets of the Solar System.
Unlike traditional planetarium shows the soundtrack takes the lead role. Each of the objects in space are represented with sounds as well as being presented with the incredible visuals. The audience listen to the stars appear and hear the planets orbit around their heads. This means that this show is an immersive experience that can be enjoyed irrespective of level of vision.
Designed to be educational for children and entertaining for all ages.

All shows will start with a live presentation about the sky and our neighborhood in space and will continue with the full dome show.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
This is the last show of the 2026 Spring Semester.
The Radford University Planetarium is located at 925 East Main Street in Radford, VA.
