The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the play "Small Mouth Sounds" with six performances starting on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 through Saturday, April 25, 2026 inside the Squires Studio Theatre on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Performance Schedule:
• Tuesday, April 21st at 7:30 PM
• Wednesday, April 22nd at 7:30 PM
• Thursday, April 23rd at 7:30 PM
• Friday, April 24th at 7:30 PM
• Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM

"Small Mouth Sounds" by Bess Wohl, is a moving and humorous contemporary play about six people on a five-day silent retreat in the woods. Each character seeks relief from personal pain. An unseen guru whose voice we hear guides the spiritual experience. Through the silence, the characters confront their brokenness and discover their human need to connect with one another. This production features a live immersive sonic experience and the chance for audience members to share their written personal intentions anonymously if they wish. We hope you will join us for the retreat in April! Come alone or come as a group. Reflect and pause. Breathing in, breathing out...

Tickets are $15.00 for the general public and $12.00 for seniors and students.

Tickets will be available at the door in the Squires Student Center beginning one hour prior to the performance.

The Squires Studio Theatre is located at 290 College Avenue in Blacksburg, VA inside the Squires Student Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.
