The Blacksburg New School presents their Annual EarthFest on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

This family-friendly event will feature interactive eco-activities for all ages, as well as a Used Book & Game Sale. You can visit the Virginia Tech Bug Zoo, get your face painted, catch a performance by Blacksburg Dance Theater (11:30 AM), learn about nature journaling on our playground, or grab some empanadas or acai bowls from the two food vendors on site.

Other Activities include:
• Earth Day Bingo
• Nature Scavenger Hunt
• EarthFlow - Community Movement & Yoga
• Pollinator Seed Bomb Station
• Maker Station
• Books, Games & Puzzles Sale
• Silent Auction (Bidding closes at 2:45 PM)
• Plants & Handmade Goods Sale
• Open House & School Tours (1:00-2:00 PM)

Admission is free.

Celebrate Earth Day with us and support Blacksburg New School while enjoying a fun-filled day with the community!

Note: Onsite parking is limited. We encourage folks to carpool or ride bikes to the event if they are able. There is also street parking available in nearby neighborhoods only a short walk away on the newly completed walking path. Please do *not* park at the cemetery across the street. We'll also have a drop-off site for those needing to drop participants off before parking.

Blacksburg New School is located at 2500 North Main Street in Blacksburg, VA.
