The 2026 Pulaski County Kids Fishing Day will be held at Camp Powhatan located in Pulaski County on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Join us for a fun day of free fishing with over 1,000 stocked trout for kids ages 14 and under. Breakfast items provided by Pulaski Parks & Rec featuring items from Family Deli & Corner Market and Walmart while supplies last. The event will also includes raffle prizes, biggest fish prize, kids activities, face painting, t-shirts for youth participants and more!
This is a free, family friendly event designed to bring awareness to children and parents of the ample outdoor opportunities available in our area. No registration is required.

There is a six trout limit per person.
Only children 14 and under are allowed to fish.
A fish cleaning station will be available for use.
The event is rain or shine except for major flooding.
Note: Must be a Virginia resident to be eligible for the Lifetime Fishing License prize.
Camp Powhatan is located at 2600 Max Creek Road in Hiwassee, VA located within Pulaski County.
