The Charles & Ona B Free Memorial Library (Dublin Library) and the New River Valley Master Gardener Association (NRVMGA) presents a Rain Barrel Workshop on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Charles & Ona B Free Memorial Library.

This hands-on workshop, led by expert gardeners, will teach you how to build and take home your very own rain barrel. It’s a fantastic way to conserve water, reduce runoff, and support sustainability efforts in our local community.

The cost is $80.00 per person.

Proceeds from the event help fund NRVMGA’s educational and community projects across the New River Valley.

The New River Valley Master Gardnerers are committed to learning and to communicating their knowledge of gardening to others. Master Gardeners will direct their efforts to creating and maintaining an awareness of the need for intelligent stewardship of the environment.

The purpose of the association is to provide service to the community by promoting good horticultural practices in accordance with standards approved by the Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) and its Master Gardener Program, and to foster communication, education, and fellowship among its members.
