St. John's Episcopal Church wraps up their 2026 Music on the Corner series on Friday, May 15, 2026.

The Music on the Corner concert will feature a performance by the popular Roanoke Baroque Ensemble and this is the final concert of this program year for Music on the Corner. The concert, entitled “A Tour of Italy,” will feature works by Carissimi, Albinoni, Viviani, Durante and Sammartini.

Roanoke Baroque was established in 2022 to create a community of instrumentalists and singers who would collaborate in instrumental and vocal ensembles to perform in the Roanoke Valley and beyond. Their repertoire includes musical master pieces from the Renaissance to the Contemporary era, with an emphasis on music of the eighteenth century, bringing together a diverse range of musicians, audiences and settings.

There will be a Meet the Artists reception at the church following the concert.

The concert is free, open to the public, and family friendly, but not suitable for small children.

St. John's Episcopal Church is located at 1 Mountain Avenue in Roanoke, VA at the corner of Jefferson and Elm Streets in downtown Roanoke.
