The Radford University College of Visual & Performing Arts continues their Selu Scenery Plein Air Workshop series with lead artist Margaret Sue Turner Wright on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM with a registration deadline of Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Selu Conservancy in Radford, VA.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of creativity with artist Margaret Sue Turner Wright! Whether you work in oil, watercolor, or any medium, this workshop welcomes all artists looking to deepen their connection to the landscapes they love.

This lesson focuses on staying true to your original inspiration that spark that moves you to create. Margaret will demonstrate in oil while sharing techniques on scene selection and bringing your vision to life, no matter your medium. Learn to see your subject through your heart’s eye and translate it onto canvas or paper.

Margaret Sue Turner Wright is a full-time artist known for her bold, impressionistic plein air and figurative work. A former National Gallery of Art Copyist Program member and multiple Perry F. Kendig Award nominee, her work has appeared on book covers and in galleries.

Enjoy artist sessions, outdoors at Radford University's Selu Conservancy, an impressive retreat that offers 380 acres of natural beauty and charm.

The Selu Conservancy is located at 3215 Dry Valley Road in Radford, VA.
